"438 Days" (438 dagar) is a Swedish biographical drama film directed by Jesper Ganslandt. The film is based on the true story of Swedish journalists Martin Schibbye and Johan Persson, who were imprisoned in Ethiopia for 438 days after illegally crossing the border from Somalia to report on human rights abuses linked to oil exploration in the Ogaden region. The story explores their harrowing experiences and fight for survival in harsh conditions. The film features Gustaf Skarsgård and Matias Varela in the leading roles​.
